Hey there, if you get time it’s worth checking out a great doco on Orchestra Baobab from west Africa called ‘Specialist in all Styles’. I reckon they’re the Madness of west Africa in terms of longevity and coolness.
Cheers, Genevieve.
Hi,I’m sure you must remember way back to the times of the 2tone tour and the subsequent film / soundtrack known as “Dance Craze”… well to cut a long story short I am friends with John “Teflon” Sims who designed the iconic artwork. He has given me a poster of the album and I have spent the last 2 years asking individual members of the bands who appeared to sign it..So far I have Roddy “radiation” Byers,Lynvall Golding,Ranking Roger, Rhoda Dhakar,Dave Wakeling, Teflon, as wells as other people who were instrumental in the 2tone movement such as Steve “Cardboard”Eaton (rip( and of course, Teflon himself…… I’m desperate to get a couple (or more) Madness signatures on it …..sooo….can you help? It really would be appreciated!!! Thanks for taking the time to read this, regards Patrik “Chemode” Wass
Hi my name is Ben and I am 10 years old. I love Madness and would love to see them live. I can’t find anywhere in N.Ireland where I could come and see you. Can you let me know. Thanks.
I just wanted to write to say thank you. I travelled all the way from Sydney to come and see you guys in concert at Blickling hall last night. I arrived mid morning to ensure a good seat. I had the best seat in the house front row centre, survived the mosh pit …. Just … Blimey that was scary, but was not giving up my position for anyone. It was a fabulous evening, everything I imagined and more, you made me laugh with your on stage shenanigans, and I was a bit star struck watching you guys to be honest, well done, keep doing what you do, because you do it well xxx next time though remind me not to wear my flip flops to a Madness gig! Ouch.
Hello,
just wanted to drop a line and ask if the rumour about a forthcoming Madness release in September/October is correct. My local record dealer told me something about a three CD box set. Besides my wife is asking for future tour dates in Germany.
Cheers
Lars

Travelling so far, obviously I want the best chance of being at the front, .. so wondered if someone could advise me of what time should I start queuing? …and do you guys have after parties? If so how do I go about tickets for that? Cheers.. Luv ya work x
Hi Lee,
Long time ago I bought a bag with on one side “the Specials” and the other side “Fuck art let’s dance’ printed on it.
I’m wondering if it’s possible to buy such a bag nowadays? I checked your Madshop but nothing in there.

Was you sax style influenced in any way by Van Der Graaf Generator? You both have a very forceful tone.
